Biography

John Sheppard is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Montana State University, specializing in machine learning, evolutionary algorithms, and swarm-based algorithms. His research focuses on applying these technologies to precision agriculture and wildfire management.

With over 200 peer-reviewed publications and two books, he is a recognized leader in the field, with a third book forthcoming. John is also a Fellow of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), reflecting his significant contributions to computer science.
